Leah Bobet


Leah Bobet is a novelist, editor, and bookseller with Bakka-Phoenix Books, Canada's oldest science fiction bookstore. Her debut novel, Above, was short-listed for the Prix Aurora Award and the Andre Norton Award and commended by the CCBCs Best Books for Kids and Teens; her second, An Inheritance of Ashes, is a finalist for the Cybils Awards and an Ontario Library Association 2015 Best Bets selection. Her short fiction has appeared in multiple Year's Best anthologies and as part of web serial Shadow Unit.

Leah was a founding editor of long-running webzine Abyss & Apex and, for seven years, was the publisher and editor of Ideomancer Speculative Fiction, whose mission was to publish the best in emerging literary speculative fiction. She lives in downtown Toronto, where she cans her own preserves, builds text-based video games, and cooks basically everything.
